    Without the chuck it's hard to hold anything securely in the Proxxon lathe. I wasn't really able to use the lathe until I got this chuck, but now that I have it I'm very happy with the system. I just finished making two tool handles with this chuck and it worked exactly the way I expected it to.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
