Get the Lumps Out Before They Cause Trouble! Virtually every book on finishing recommends straining finishes before using them. Most also advise using old nylon stockings as a strainer. If you think dust is bad, imagine what body oils and dead skin can do to a finish! Use a genuine, industrial quality strainer and leave the worn out panty-hose in the trash can where it belongs.
