Made of heavy duty precision tool steel, these chisels will stay sharp even under heavy hammer blows. The locking handles are made of a durable nylon 66 material with stainless steel hinge pins. Color coded handles keep you from guessing which size chisel you are opening; Blue handle for 1/4", Yellow for 1/2", Green for 3/4" and Red for 1" chisels. Total length when opened is 8-3/4", when closed, 5". Made in USA.

I don't use chisels often, mostly for installing locksets in interior doors. All my other chisels are nicked and blunted because they bang against hard things, or they cut through my tool bags because they rub against them.This chisel folds neatly, unfolds cleanly, and works perfectly. Especially if you don't use it often, spend the money and get one that won't make you afraid to stick your hand in to get it.
