A clever design places the dust extraction column in the back of the OF 2200, keeping the power cord (also top-mounted) and dust extraction hose out of your way!
Controls are clearly labeled with icons for purpose and adjustment direction. Use the manual less and your tool more!
Not only is the magnetic spindle motor a faster and more reliable method of retarding spindle motion, its use also prolongs the service life of the motor!
Use the variable spindle speed control to dial in the appropriate spindle speed based on material/application. The OF 2200 employs multi-material control electronics to guarantee constant speed under load!
A triple-bearing design makes the unit less likely to wobble, which is critical given the sheer power of the OF 2200 (some large bits will spin at more than 22,000 RPM)!
The OF 2200 has over 80mm of travel, making its plunge depth impressive. The OF 2200 also allows for micro-adjustments in plunge depth of 1/256"(1/10mm)!
Change bits easily with a simple lever/ratchet combination! An ingenious 360 degree dust shroud retracts above a wide column to allow easy, non knuckle-brusing access to the collet!
Fingertip control! Power trigger, trigger lock, locking knob for the double-column plunge depth lock and release trigger for the dust shroud are placed on the same handle for expert manipulation!
Changing bases couldn't be quicker than is possible using the tool-less, spring-loaded release lever of the OF 2200!
With a 3-3/8" opening for bits, 1/2" collet and 2200 watts of output, the OF 2200 is the most capable router available!
