Product Information

Tired of countersinks that slip on the drill bit after one or two holes? After tightening the set screw half a dozen times, the drill bit is usually so scarred up that there is no hope of any further adjustment. Make it Snappy countersinks are designed so that the countersink locks onto the hex shank, and the drill bit slides through the center. A set screw allows adjustment of the drill bit for different screw lengths. Because the drill drives the hex shank of the countersink, instead of the drill bit itself, slippage is eliminated! The bit may be replaced with equal sized bits of any point design or length.

Comments about Snappy 1/8'' x 3/8'' Countersink w/Standard Pt. Bit:

This countersink is the only one you'll ever need. I use mine daily as a cabinet maker. It is driven by the shank of the countersink so it never spins and the set screw that secures the pilot bit is secure and easy to reset if the depth needs to be changed. I grind a small flat on the shaft of the drill bit out of habit, but it is not necessary. I have used many different types of countersinks from the top-of-the-line Fuller's to bargain basement specials. This is the best one. Easily chucked in and out of my cordless driver, and easily re-sharpened freehand on the grinder. Cheap and rugged enough to throw away when it dulls.
