Product Information

Tired of countersinks that slip on the drill bit after one or two holes? After tightening the set screw half a dozen times, the drill bit is usually so scarred up that there is no hope of any further adjustment. Make it Snappy countersink sets are designed so that the countersink locks onto the hex shank, and the drill bit slides through the center. A set screw allows adjustment of the drill bit for different screw lengths. Because the drill drives the hex shank of the countersink, instead of the drill bit itself, slippage is eliminated! The bit may be replaced with equal sized bits of any point design or length. Set includes 5 adjustable countersinks from 5/64" x 3/8" C’Sink to 9/64" x 1/2" C’Sink. Please note that the 9/64" x 3/8" countersink is a special purpose tool and is not included. Includes 1/8" hex wrench.

Comments about Snappy 2 Flute Countersink Set, Brad Pt.:

    RE: Con
I'm not sure whether to blame the shank or the Snappy quick change chuck. 3 of the 5 shanks jammed in the chuck and would not release when the sleeve was pulled back. It took a lot of time to get them worked loose. After 5 or 6 cycles they seemed to work ok. Also, the color coded #2 drivers will not fit the chuck until you scrap off the paint. Any recommendation to a friend would be conditional.
