Three-way adjustability and quick disconnect system speeds installation

  • Pair with correct mounting plate and use on full overlay, half overlay, or inset doors

You won't believe the difference three-way adjustability (up/down, in/out and sideways) and Grass' quick-disconnect system makes. As shown, when paired with the proper mounting plate, these hinges can be installed on full overlay, half overlay, or inset doors. Hinges have 35 mm cup. Mounting plates must be ordered separately, and screws must be ordered separately. Made in Germany.

Installing Grass Euro Hinges: Options Make It Easy!
Hinge and Mounting Plate Selection:

  1. Determine your overlay and thickness of the door.
  2. Choose your hinge opening angle and door overlay (see chart below) to find the appropriate mounting plate and soft close adapter.
  3. Order five screws (#0605-FPN) total for each hinge/plate combination.
  4. Drill the correct size (35 mm or 40 mm) cup hole based on the size of the cup. Add 17.5 mm or 20 mm to account for the radius of the 35 mm or 40 mm hinge cup plus the distance between the edge (DBE) for hole placement.

        Comments about 165° Euro Cabinet Hinges:

        If you need the cabinet door to swing wide then this fits the bill. They cause the door to move out from the cabinet, so clearance if you have a row of cabinets is OK. I used a small overlay distance and did not have any conflict with cabinets on the side.

        These are 35mm, the documentation wasn't really clear on this.

            I use these hinges when I have drawers pull out of a cabinet. I don't think lower cabinets, 24 inches deep are very user-friendly. Bottom shelves are always made with a two inch deep tray, and pots and pans at the back of the tray are accessible.

                This hinge was an almost-direct replacement for a hinge on a [...] medicine cabinet. The original broke about 15 months from purchase. It's a heavy silver-leafed resin door with mirrors front and back. The original hinge just snapped one day; this is a much better designed, the mounting plate is properly reinforced at the stress point.
