Timber Check Moisture Meter

It’s hard to cope with wood movement if the lumber you use isn’t as dry as you think, or if some of the wood is dry, and some isn’t. Housed in a tough ABS plastic case, this easy to use meter indicates moisture ranges from 6 to 25%. Just poke the pins into the lumber to be tested, and turn the knob until the green light that indicates the moisture content turns on. Suitable for testing lumber up to 1-1/2" thick, - on thicker lumber it provides surface readings only. Accuracy is within 1/2% in the ranges appropriate for cabinet making (generally regarded to be from 4% to 10% depending on location). Replaceable sensing pins are 1/2" long. Includes spare pins, 9v battery, and instructions.
