Frankly, it is a little hard to believe that Makita could fit all those tools
into such a compact package, but they did. Their new Hybrid technology
allows the user to switch modes by simply moving a selector lever conveniently
located on top of the motor.
The specs on each mode are nothing short of spectacular, and would be
impressive in a single function tool. Put them together and its hard to
imagine needing anything else. Imagine carrying just one tool to the job
with the ability to drill a clearance hole through a pressure-treated floor
plate (drill mode), drill a hole in the concrete for a self-tapping concrete
screw (hammer-drill mode), then drive the screw home (impact or screw driver
mode)! Leaving three other tools behind will allow room for all sort of
additional supplies (and maybe even some refreshments). The quick change
chuck accept any ball detent style 1/4" shank tool.
Makita's 3.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries provide longer run times, discharge
more slowly when not in use and provide almost three times the total lifetime
power of other battery types.
This Hybrid, 4-Mode drivers comes complete with Makita's Optimum Charger for
fast recharges, two 3.0 Ah Li-Ion batteries, and a storage case.
