Makita 18v Hammer/Drill/Driver 8443DWDE

Most multifunction tools are studies in compromise. They do several things, but none of them well. Makita’s three function 8443DWDE hammer/driver/drill really delivers though. Drill a hole through a ledger board, switch to the hammer drill mode and drill up to a 5/8" hole in masonry for a lag shield, the switch to the Driver mode and sink the fastener. Changing from one mode to another is a matter of rotating a collar behind the 1/2" capacity chuck..
