Makita Sliding Compound Miter Saw

Who could believe that a tool this compact could possibly have an 11-3/4" wide by 2-1/16" thick cutting capacity at ninety degrees! Makita engineers designed the saw with two sets of beefy steel shafts and precision linear bearings to provide the necessary travel and stiffness for wide, accurate, repeatable cuts. By extending the blade travel rather than resorting to a large diameter blade, they were able to use a 7-1/2" blade, which allowed the use of a smaller motor, which reduced weight, and increased compactness. That may not sound like a big deal - until you need to carry the saw from your truck, up three flights of stairs, to the work site! A handle on the top of the motor housing, and the compact design when the table is swung to 45 degrees makes this saw a pleasure to carry. Included with the manual is a full set of compound miter tables for all of the common bevel angles. The saw includes a 7-1/2" x 40 tooth carbide tipped blade, hold down clamp, dust bag (you may also connect the saw to a dust collector), a blade wrench, and a triangular alignment gauge.
