If you hate changing planer or jointer knives as much as I do, you are really going to appreciate this precision jig. After unplugging the machine and removing the exhaust port, the jig is positioned on the cutterhead and held in place by a powerful rare earth neodymium magnet. Both jigs have small indexing lips which provide for consistent readings as the jigs are moved across the width of the cutterhead. The dial indicator’s 1/4" wide anvil makes positioning on the knife edge easy. Both jigs only work on machines with steel cutterheads, and neither jig is designed for use with planer/molder combination machines. Jig is made in USA, dial indicator is imported.
