If you have ever assembled Ready-to-Assemble furniture of any kind you are probably familiar with these time savers. Tee nuts are an industry standard because they simplify after-market assembly are easy to install using automatic equipment and hold extremely well. Our Tee nuts are a patented improvement over those you probably have encountered before. Most are generally round with four smooth nailing stakes and a uniform barrel. Ours are somewhat rectangular in shape for a larger bearing area have saw teeth on the four nailing stakes for extra grip and have a tapered barrel to aid in alignment when pounding them in. Ours are also made of considerably thicker steel plate for extra strength. Tee nuts are ideal for table legs where leg levelers are required or for joining materials as shown. Unplated Steel. Made in Canada.

Comments about 1/4-20 x 7/16BL Tee Nut Large Flange:
I needed about 80 tee nuts to build a Pinewood Derby track. I really appreciate McFeely's bulk packs. Saved quite a bit over buying at the hardware store AND these particular tee nuts have a larger flange than what I saw locally so they should hold better.
This beats a hex nut and washer

Easy to use in place of a nut/washer combination, especially in places where clearance for a wrench would be difficult. The holding power is there. The low-profile can be of great benefit, too.

Very good structurally, though I wish they were plated for better corrosion resistance.
