Aside from a top quality blade, a top notch Miter gauge is one of these least expensive saw improvements you can make. Kreg’s made in the USA Precision Miter Gauge is among the best I have had the pleasure to use.
The miter bar features five Kreg adjusters – adjustable-width inserts on each side which allow you to achieve a nice, tight, wobble-free fit in worn or oversized miter tracks. The miter quadrant has CNC drilled stops at 0, 10, 22.5, 30 and 45 degrees, as well as a vernier scale for incredibly precise angle adjustments – perfect when cutting compound miters. For even more precision the quadrant face features built-in nylon adjusting stops, which, when used with a dial caliper, allow 1/1000th degree adjustments! The miter gauge blade is 24" long, the CNC machined aluminum quadrant face is 5-7/8" wide by 2" high, and the bar is 3/4" wide by 3/8" thick. The Kreg Miter Gauge head attaches easily to a user-supplied fence.
The Kreg Precision Miter Gauge includes the guide bar with bar adjusters and the gauge head only - the fence and FlipStop are not included.
