Compact Jig with Big Jig Performance!
Kregs’ R3 Kreg Jig Jr.is compact, but packed with performance features. The thing that most impressed me was the pair of nifty, intergral indexing stops that make it easy to adjust the jig to “center” the pocket hole pilot in the material thickness quickly, accurately, and without measuring. Simply depress the tabs on either side to slide the stops, aligning them with the embossed scale which indicates the material thickness. A swivel Clamp pad attaches quickly, and fits Kreg Face Clamps with a 1-3/4” diameter pad face. The R3 Kreg Jig Jr. will center the pocket hole in materials from 1/2” to 1-1/2” thick: it works with thicker materials as well, but can not center the pocket hole pilot. The R3 Kreg Jig Jr. set includes the Jig, of course, the Kreg Pocket Hole step drill bit and stop collar, a 6” long Square Drive driver bit, hex wrench, and selection of assorted pocket hole screws (10 each of 5 different sizes), and a face clamp adapter pad. We recommend the Kreg Premium Face Clamp for use with the R3 Kreg Jig Jr. because its designed for use with material up to 1-3/4” thick, (unlike the standard clamp which limits material to 3/4” thick).
