If you like using steel wool for that final buffing, or to scuff a finish between coats, you’ll love Klingspor’s Non-Woven Abrasive pads! They are easy to use, (with or without the handy “pad holder”), last longer, and don’t leave metal fragments behind like standard steel wool. Steel wool metal fragments are a real problem if you are using a water based lacquer or varnish, unless you don’t mind little rust specks in the finish of course! Non-Woven Abrasive pads are perfect for buffing out a finish, or for the all important scuff sanding between coats. The white “non-abrasive” pads are used primarily for polishing.
