2-1 machines can be eye-rollers in many cases but the Jet Planer/Jointer combinations make a lot of functional sense because they’re packed with smart features. For starters, like all of the tools in the B3NCH ™ line, they’re built with your bench top in mind. The 10" Jointer/Planer uses two high-speed steel knives (powered by a 13 Amp motor) to guarantee your boards are flat and parallel on both sides. It also features a large extruded aluminum fence so your joining is stable and a sheet metal outfeed table for supporting long workpieces while planing. Jet’s designers must have eyes like ours because over-sized, ergonomically designed knobs are used liberally for ease of use and maximum control of your project. Comes standard with a rigid steel frame to allow for free-standing operation. Made in China. Truck freight only.

been looking for a joiner, adequate size, power, and portability. had not found anything worth the effort. too expensive, not portable, or not professional grade, til now. a bonus, is that it is a thickness planer.so cuts out the extra expense of an additional machine.very happy with it.easy to put together, even with the vague owners manual. some of the instruactions and illustrations were very vague.i am also happy with the safety features that are in place with this machine.
