I had a similar tool which I purchased a number of years ago and I used it many many times. I purchased the extra pole levels to give to my sons so they may be able to use it. Great tool for many jobs.I am certain thAt they will find it very helpful in jobs around their homes.

The rubber strap/band apparently is not designed to stretch to accomodate a 5" post, weakness in the rubber shows itself before to long. Replacement strap/bands are available from Johnson, the product maker, and they are nice folks to deal with.. Bottom line the product does what it is expected to..
