Comments about 5/16-18 Female, Free Spinning Fluted Knob:
Used to dress up a small project, and instead of a wing nut. Freely spins down to point of contact. Large enough to apply force without hurting your hand.
Nice addition to the project!
Largest diameter knob I could find that free spins down the bolt, as most had jam nut style nut. This allows quick loosening of clamp or spinning it down to the point of tightening.Feels solid when used though it seems light. Satin finish to molding but looks good. Attractive addition to my clamp lending it a professional look in stead of a wing nut.
Good Knob

After using these knobs for the last couple of months, I had to order a second batch. I was very impressed with the first batch. They are very durable and are far superior to a couple of other brands from national Woodworking Stores (you know who I mean). I have used them for my mortise & tenon jigs, table saw outfeed table folding legs, etc. The only "con" to these knobs is that if you are use to using the "other" brands, you might want to be cautious when tightening them. Great price! High Quality!
I received these fast from McFeely's and in perfect condition. They are just as advertised. I use a lot of these for jigs in my woodshop. I can't comment on the durability yet, because I have only used them for a couple of jigs, but they look well made and I expect they will last a long time.I have to say that this knob is a very comfortable knob to grip with my large hands. When I first started using these knobs, I found myself turning them too tight, because the grip is so good. I was so use to using another brand, that I indented one of my jig tracks before I realized it. I now have to remind myself that these are excellent knobs and I don't have to use as much torque as my other brands.Thank you McFeely's!
