Salt spray will wreak havoc with ordinary galvanized hardware, as anyone that has lived near the ocean can attest. That’s why savvy homeowners and quality builders have insisted on stainless steel for fasteners exposed to the elements. That’s great for screws, nails, bolts, and other readily available fasteners, but what about the joist hangers on the deck? Now there is a solution! These 18 gauge, grade 316 stainless steel joist hangers are designed to make construction fast and easy, while providing the long life needed in a seaside environment. 1" wide nailing flanges with a 2" saddle to support the joist. The patented double shear nailing pattern is fast and provides for an extra measure of holding power compared to usual nailing patterns. Note: if attaching to a single 2x header, 1-1/2 long nails are used; use 3"" nails when fastening hangers to doubled 2x headers. Requires 4 nails for header and 4 10d x 3" nails for the joist. Order the required fasteners separately. "

Comments about Stainless Steel Joist Hanger for 2'' x 6'' & 2'' x 8'':
I had to chisel off out galvi hangers and replace them with these SS hangers.
