Hex (Allen®) recess fasteners have been used in a wide variety of machinery products for many years, as anyone who has attempted to repair almost anything mechanical well knows. These versatile bits are available in both 1 inch long wire detent (insert) style bits as well as 2 inch long (nominal length) power driver bits for direct use in quick change chucks or Jacobs® style drill chucks.
