Check the moisture content in your wood before you start your project
Know before you start that your wood is dry enough for gluing, painting or staining. This General Tool Moisture Meter has a 3 digit 10 mm LCD display and measures from 5% to 50% with 0.1% resolution and +/– accuracy of 3%. It runs on a single 9 v battery (included) and has a built in low battery indicator. It’s small enough to fit in a pocket at 5.7" x 2.4" x 1.2" and weighs only 4.4 oz. It has an operating range from 32º to 122º F in less than 90% relative humidity. It comes with a protective ABS plastic “snap cap” cover to protect the 3/8" (non-replaceable) probes when not in use. Made in China.

Comments about Moisture Meter:
I purchased this for evaluating moisture detection for my home. The digital read-out is always "current" thus being not truly useful for hard to read areas such as in a corner or high hard to reach area that is even worse for hard to read. If this had a "memory" lock (as some thermometers and light meters do) it would have been more favorably rated (by me).
