No more “frozen” bit holders or screws stuck to screw heads!
Made from durable chrome vanadium, Fastcap’s TaperLock Bit Holder accepts both wire detent and ball detent bits and holds them snugly in place until you release them. It also prevents bits from being frozen in the recess because the bit holder’s hold wasn’t strong enough. A simple one hand operation allows you to insert the bit in the holder while the collar locks it in place. To remove, just slide the collar away from the drill and pull the insert bit out. No more accidental release by driving too deep and bottoming out the bit holder on the work surface. Made in Taiwan.

Comments about FastCap TaperLock Bit Holder 2-7/8'' Long:
so far it holds the bits and stops them from staying with the screw. there's nothing more troublesome than constantly replacing your bit back in the holder. great job FastCap

Great design but the magnet is horrible. The magnet will not hold a screw in place, which makes this accessory too frustrating to use.

Beauty Is Only Skin Deep

Several years ago I bought two bit holders from McFeely's that were the best I've ever found. I quickly lost one and have been trying every since to find more of the same with no success. These seemed to be the closest I had found. At ten and change the price wasn't bad had they worked, which they didn't. A bit holder that won't hold screws is of no use to me. That little magnet is like a third hand to me. [...] I ended up with four of the little buggers. To my surprise NONE of them would hold a screw. [...] The feature of ejecting the bit is great and if they can come up with a fix on the magnet I'll be reordering a couple more of them. If you just want a plain bit holder, buy the dollar idem at your local hardware store. If you want one that will also hold the screw, look elsewhere.
I don't like it, bad product

The Magnet doesn't work, the screws fall from the bit, the lock is to sensitive and drop the bit.
