FastCap's ProCarpenter FlatBack tape measure has a rugged compact casing with a built in pencil sharpener and a lever action belt clip. 1" wide blade lays flat making it extremely easy to read and transfer measurement lines. The side of the case has an erasable note pad (for pencils only!). Standard English measurements on top half, and Metric measurements on lower half. 16 foot length. Made in China.

My first flat tape and like it. Tip is fixed so cannot get accurate inside measure,so only use for outside measure. Hoping this leads to long-term stability of tip since it doesn't have to be loose to slip for inside measures.

For the first time I can get perfect markings - because of the flat tape. I wish I had found this tape years ago. No more curved marking tapes for me on layout projects and where accurate measurements are a necessity. To me, precise measurements are essential!After ordering and using the first one, I ordered one of each of the FlatBack tapes and even sent one to a friend in Australia.

This is the second flat line I've purchased for my husband and he wants one more. He likes using it for wood projects where the flat line is very useful in getting accurate measurements on small pieces. In various projects from making old wooden antique cars, trucks, bulldozers and boxes to making a complex storage cases for his larger tools like a table saw to small drawers for nuts, bolts and screws etc.
I would buy this product again and again
