Sometimes it’s convenient to measure right to left, sometimes left to right. This new tape measure lets you do it without standing on your head! Its heavy duty 1” wide tape is 33% heavier than other tapes on the market and it reads from either the left or the right. Add an erasable note pad on one side (pencils only!), a built-in pencil sharpener, a separate temporary blade lock on the bottom, AND a nifty thumb tab to easily spread the belt clip and a rugged, rubberized case and you have one very user-friendly tape measure! 25 ft. Made in China.

Comments about 25ft FastCap Reverse-Read Tape Measure:
I am a machinist and we do a lot of rod work. These rods range from 2" diam by 3 ft to 4 1/2 diam by 20 ft. We have to measure these rods accurately to cut them to length. I have been using a Starret tape that has a yellow background with inch and metric scales. This tape is starting to wear out so I have been looking for a new tape. I received this catalog and I looked at the tapes. The description was very accurate and the pictures reveled how the tape was set up. One thing I liked was the background was white which has helped in our shop which has poor lighting during my shift at night. The brake downs on the tape with 1/16 in red and 1/8 in black help keep you from confusing which line you are on. The most surprising aspect of this tape is the accuracy. I looped the end of the tape on the end of our 6ft precision scale and was amazed that the lines on the tape matched the lines on the scale precisely.

I have owned several of these tapes because my friends are always taking them. We all apreciate how the measurements are broken up and the fact you can read it either way. The best thing has to be the pencil sharpener an writing pad on the tape. It is so handy to not have to find a scrap or paper to write on and to be able to erase it so easily when moving on to the next project.

I like this tape measure, but could do with out the add-on's. This tape is great if you got to read upside down. So far the best tape measure i own.
Not for Me

THis tape is a good idea but the numbers are not bold or big enough to read at any distance. Say trying to measure for a pipe hanger and you cannot read from a few feet away. I'm just talking mainly the inch and feet marks I can guess the rest.
