Sometimes it’s convenient to measure right to left, sometimes left to right. This new tape measure lets you do it without standing on your head! Its heavy duty 1” wide tape is 33% heavier than other tapes on the market and it reads from either the left or the right. Add an erasable note pad on one side (pencils only!), a built-in pencil sharpener, a separate temporary blade lock on the bottom, AND a nifty thumb tab to easily spread the belt clip and a rugged, rubberized case and you have one very user-friendly tape measure! 25 ft. Made in China.

Comments about 25ft FastCap Reverse-Read Tape Measure:
THis tape is a good idea but the numbers are not bold or big enough to read at any distance. Say trying to measure for a pipe hanger and you cannot read from a few feet away. I'm just talking mainly the inch and feet marks I can guess the rest.

I like the way it feels and measures from the very tip of the tape. The built in pencil sharpener is a great plus. I mean how many times have you got your measurement and found your pencil point is broken?!

I'm a telecommunications technician, carpenter and home hobbyist. I use a tape measure constantly. I know some people can read a tape effortlessly, but I feel it's time consuming to decipher the fraction of an inch constantly. The fractional display speeds this process and reduces mis-reading the tape. Taking a measurement is sometimes restricted to measuring left to right or right to left. This sturdy tape with it's wide tape and reverse-read capabilities make such measurements a snap. The end hook 3 rivet design I believe enhances it's durability. Last but not least the pencil sharpener and erasable note pad is also a nice time saving touch. As I live in Alaska, the selection of some items are limited in a sense. Sure there are multiple selections of tape measures but not fractional or reverse-read tapes. I've owned 3 or 4 Stanley fractional tapes. In addition to them being not reverse-read tapes, I felt they also "wore out" to fast for me. Mostly the tape would get warped to one side or the other making taking measurements difficult. Once the end hook rapidly "wore out." After a considerable amount of searching, the FastCap reverse-read tape with it's fractional display, wide tape and 3 rivet hook attachment fit the bill exactly. I bought 3 of them!
