Zipbolt Drive Key, 2" long

FSC-2601

Item No: FSC-2601

Product Information

Every connecting bolt design until now has required the installer to become a contortionist - squeezing into a cabinet base while trying to tighten a few connector bolts. Well, you still need to crawl into the cabinet base, but these new ZipBolts install with a drive key (looks like the end of a Jacobs® chuck key) mounted in an electric drill instead of a wrench or drive spud. The drive key gear mates with a similar gear on the bolt, and through the magic of left-hand threads and a right-angle “gear box,” tightening the bolt is as simple as driving a screw. The drive key is made of hardened steel for long life. For longest life, make sure the drive key firmly engages the drive gear to avoid spinning.

Comments about Zipbolt Drive Key, 2'' long:

I really liked the idea of this chuck-key style system. However, in reality, it's poorly constructed and flimsy. The fit with the bit, the drive hole and the teeth is soft at best. Things slip and strip easily. Do yourself a favor, skip the bit and grab your 7/16 ratchet wrench.

Comments about Zipbolt Drive Key, 2'' long:

The gears are badly cut, the item is poorly made, and I used a wrench instead. While it took a little longer, it worked.
