When a finished appearance is important, the flat grain orientation of these plugs will allow you to match the grain and disguise the unwanted screw hole, if you select grain pattern and color carefully. These plugs also avoid the darkening effect experienced when finishing end grain plugs. Length is 1/4” long with 2° Taper. Made in USA.

    Nothing very complicated about flat head plugs, but when you need them you need them and in spite of their simplicity, they're surprisingly scarce. Not really into making my own.
