Now available in 304 Stainless steel for severe weather environments as well as the standard powder coated steel, the EZ Stair system uses adjustable pairs of brackets for each tread to eliminate notching stringers and to ensure accurate spacing. Reusable spacers set the rise and run on parallel 2 x 6’s or 2 x 8’s for each stringer. Stairs up to 7 feet (exterior) and 9 feet (interior) wide can be built with just two stringers. Both powder-coated and Stainless steel brackets are compatible with man-made or ACQ treated lumber. EZ Stair meets the Universal Building Code uniform load requirements and is ICC-ES approved (ESR-2295). See www.icc-es.org and consult your local building department before using in your area. The brackets are approved as joist hangers, allowing the risers to carry the load across the stair. This eliminates the need of center stringers for stairs up to 7’ wide in stair construction.
