The EZ Stair system takes almost all of the difficulty out of building stairs. Its adjustable stair brackets (matching left and right) eliminate the need to notch stringers for treads and risers, and ensures accurate spacing. Select your rise and run and set the reusable spacer to position the brackets on a pair of parallel 2 x 6 or 2 x 8’s for each stringer. After loosely attaching each bracket with two #8 x 1-1/4" flat head or pan head screws, the spacer is removed and the stringer boards are pivoted together, re-orienting the brackets into perfect position. The system is fast, eliminates complicated layout, reduces material requirements, and virtually eliminates tricky saw cuts. Incredibly, stairs up to 7 feet (exterior) and 9 feet (interior) in width can be built with the EZ Stair system using just two stringers. The powder coated metal brackets are compatible with composite materials and the new ACQ treated lumber, and can be reused in concrete form work as well. EZ Stair meets the Universal Building Code uniform load requirements by a factor of 2-1 and is ICC-ES approved (ER-6161). Consult your local building department before using in your area.
