Imagine a super hard water based wood finish, formulated for spraying - right out of the can! No more catalysts to mix, no more wondering if you got the formula right. Just stir and shoot. If that isn’t enough, imagine that the wood finish is water-white-clear. If that sounds too good to be true, you haven’t tried CrystaLac Premium 2001 Finish yet. Specifically designed for musical instrument builders who need a super hard, crystal clear finish (even clearer than our standard Premium 2000 topcoats). Use of a separate sanding sealer is not recommended - Premium 2001 wood finish is self sealing. Use it for your most demanding surfaces - desk tops, pianos, dining room tables - its up to the challenge.
Available in Satin, Gloss and Semi-gloss in Quarts and Gallons. Semi-Gloss Quart is pictured

About Me Avid Do-It-Yourselfer
I've been using Crystlac for several years and love it. Perfect for children's projects and for furniture. I love the ease of application and the easy clean up. Dries quickly so it minimizes dust particles collecting and I can re-coat without waiting for hours and hours. The only con is that it's not readily available locally.
My First Experience With Water Based Fin
By Tom DiGi

I've always used nitro-cel based lacquer finishes. Very nice to not have an explosion issue while finishing. This sprays well at pressures from 25 - 40 PSI and dries very quickly. If your water sep. isn't working up to par, there's no problem while using a water based finish.Sands easily between coats just like the old sanding sealers; since it doubles as a sealer and finish coat, one product in stock is a real benefit.
