Change Blades Fast, Relieve Tension Easily

Did you know you should relieve the tension on your band saw blade when it won’t be used for a while? Relieving the tension extends blade life, and can help prevent premature bearing and arbor failure. Most of us forget to do it though, largely and because it’s not very convenient. Carter’s Quick Release makes it easy to do (just pull the lever)and hard to forget (the big handle is clearly visible). It provides three levels of tension - full tension for use when cutting, partial tension for blade changing, and full-release. Installation is easy, although it does take a bit of saw disassembly to accomplish. Designed for use with 1/8" to 3/4" wide blades. Fits Delta, Grizzly, General, Jet, Ridgid, and Sears Contractor 14" band saws. Made in USA.
