Product Information

  • Fits most 14" saws: Delta, Jet, Grizzly, Star, Craftsman, Reliant, Bridgewood

You have probably seen the “amazing” band saw blade demonstration at a woodworking show: a band saw equipped with a narrow 3/8" wide blade cuts paper-thin veneers! That’s great, but it should be for a $29 blade. What woodworkers really need is an affordable blade that can do that trick. This is it!

Most “hobby” blades are stamped from pretempered spring steel that is at its final hardness, so the blade must be relatively thin. That makes it more likely to wander in the cut unless the tension is outrageously high (eventually leading to upper wheel axle failure). Olson All-Pro blades are milled from a ribbon of special high-alloy tool steel instead of simply punched. The individual teeth are set and induction hardened to Rc 64-65 so they start sharp and stay sharp longer. The tooth-hardening process leaves the back with the needed flexibility (Rc 45) to avoid early fatigue breakage, and the stiffness to maintain a straight cut in thick material. Milling the teeth allows for thicker blades (.025" on blades 1/2" and narrower; .032" on blades wider than 1/2"), for increased stability under load and reduced tendency to wobble in the cut. For best results, please make sure your saw is tuned up first, or you won’t be able to tell how good a blade this really is! Made in USA.

Comments about 3/8'' x 4 tpi. x 93-1/2'' Skip Tooth Olson Bandsaw Blade:

Personally feel that(along with much needed new tires) the above blade is a good all around choice for both re-sawing & ripping material. These are my main uses for the band saw.
