There is no question that screws offer significantly greater holding power than nails in most applications. That’s why many builders prefer to use screws and glue when installing sub-flooring. However, even at best, the process is slower than nailing, forcing many builders to choose between a high-quality screwed sub-floor with its lower incidence of call-backs and more time efficient nailed sub-floor. Now you don’t need to choose! Just load a strip of these specially designed collated screws into your nail gun. The unique asymmetrical threads offer minimal resistance during installation, (but provide nearly the same pull-out resistance as the popular deep threaded screws used in self-feed screw guns.) The screws have a #2 Phillips recess, so they are easy to remove if necessary.
