The Festool OF 1400 EQ router is everything you would expect from Festool, and more, with innovative features that truly set a new standard for routers. For example, the new "ratcheting" shaft lock allows one wrench bit changes without removing the wrench from the collet nut, and double guide-column clamping provides exceptional rigidity and helps prevent inadvertent router height "adjustments". A full 2-3/4" routing depth lets you make deep cuts and provides for routing flexibility. The incredibly quiet 11.7 amp soft start motor uses the innovative Festool electronic control to maintain the desired speed under load, making it seem far more powerful than its rating would imply. The optional Festool Edge Guide includes a micro-adjust feature for precise positioning control and has extra-long bars (15-3/4") for wide cuts. For edge shaping or even jointing, team it with Festool’s optional guide rail adapter and a Festool guide rail.
