Remove the chuck and use the 1/4" hex moter shaft bit holder, or the new CentroTec Quick Change chuck and the wide variety of Festool drill and driver bits. Need to work close to a wall or cabinet side? Use the Festool eccentric chuck or the right angle adapter sold separately. Of course, for the day to day activities, use the standard keyless three jaw chuck. To change from one to another, just retract or rotate the locking rings. The unique Festool Centrotec Quick Change system uses special 1/4" hex bits that have an extended shaft for increased stability and concentricity.
