Festool’s PS2 Jigsaw is legendary for its superior cutting quality and smooth operation: Festool’s new TRION Jigsaw simply adds incredibly well engineered features to an already superior saw. The first thing you’ll notice is the incredible, tool-free blade changing system. Just lift the front lever to release the blade and and drop in a new one. That’s it. Of course, the TRION uses the same great bayonet mount Festool Jigsaw blades that helped make the PS2 a legend. Dust extraction efficiency has been improved as well, giving you an even better reason to connect the saw to one of the superbly engineered Festool Dust Extractors.
Cutting power has been increased 60%, so you can cut things you never dreamed possible with a jigsaw (like 3/8" steel plate or 4-3/4" thick wooden beams). Electronic speed control lets you match saw performance to the task, while the 4 position selectable oscillating action allows for as aggressive a cutting stroke as you desire. The Festool "Plug-it" removable cord system makes cord replacement easy while providing for more compact storage, and less fatigue on the cord. Made in Germany.

As straight as you can steer it is as perfect as it gets. With a fresh blade, first swipes look like a router did it. I have put this saw to work in maple and hard oak, same hard oak that put my last jig to rest, and never a squeek. My first Festool but not my last.
