Building “Boxes” with Melamine Has Never Been this Easy! Ready to try building cabinet boxes (or even particle board storage boxes for the shop), but not sure where to start? This starter kit makes it easy! We include the 100 screws (5040-CSP-C), 100 white decorative caps (5041-CAP-C), appropriate drill bit (MS-5040), and 1" and 2" Pozi-drive bits (HPD-0210 & HPD-0220) so that all you need to supply is a bit of Melamine (or particle board for more utilitarian projects), a cordless or electric drill, and a spot or two of glue.

Excellent Purchase

Comments about 5 x 40mm Connecting Screw Starter Kit:
Next to pocket screw techonoly, this has to be one of the easist and strongest ways to build anything made of melamine and or particle board. The drill bit is a step drill bit which helps to reduce the chipping of the material and keep the hole clean while drilling. The only gripe I have are the driver bits, I wish they were longer. I know this is a "starter kit" but I also wish this kit came with more screws! But I guess thats why McFeely's sent me a new catalog with my purchase.
RTA bookshelves given new life

About Me Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
I have many sets of bookshelves from a leading manufacture of RTA furniture. Most have held up fine, but one set must have been loaded off-balance since one shelf collapsed dropping its contents on the next shelf down which in turn collapsed. Not wanting to discard these shelves, I searched for a way to repair them. McFeelys to the rescue! Within a few hours of receiving my kit, my bookshelves were back in service, better than ever. As I add more sets, I will use the addtional fasteners in this kit to pro-actively secure the shelves.

This is the solution to a problem I had

I use these to fasten MDF face to edge. They give me a consistent, tight mechanically sound joint every time. You will need to keep the fasteners at least 1-1/8" away from the edges of the piece you are fastening into.
