Now you can make dead straight, silky smooth, splinter free cuts in hardwood veneered plywood with a portable circular saw. The secret of course, is the use of a Festool TS 55 or TS 75 EQ circular saw and a Festool Precision Guide Rail.
Festool's unique guide rail system is designed for use with Festool products, so adapters are unnecessary. Two soft, grippy, cushion strips underneath the rail are strategically located to prevent slippage and splintering. Upon first use, a hard rubber edge strip is trimmed back by the tool so that it precisely indicates the cut line for future work without calculations for base plate offset. Special “C” clamps fit into a slot under the guide rail for obstruction free work when absolute positioning accuracy is required. If purchasing a TS 75 saw, Festool recommends a 3000 mm (118") #491501 Guide Rail for cutting an 8 ft. sheet. Made in Germany.
Note: The length of this product exceeds UPS/Fed Ex Ground requirements and must ship via truck freight. Charges to be determined when order is placed.

Comments about Festool 106'' (2700mm) FS/2 2700/2 Guide Rail:
For sometime I've been frustrated despite my best efforts to get perfectly straight cuts when cutting up pieces from sheet goods. Attaching the tracks together always left a slight bow no matter how I placed the straight edge and aligned the extensions. Reading a recent article by some professional woodcarvers using the TS 75 saw and the long tracks confirmed my decision to make this purchase. I obtained some large hooks from my local hardware store and now all my tracks are neatly hanging on the wall for my convenience. I don't have the space for a large table saw, but with this equipment I'm convinced that I don't need one.
