Footprint Hacking Knife

The hacking knife is designed to be struck on the back side with a hammer and used for gouging out and removing old putty from window frames among other uses. The carbon steel blade tapers from 5/16" at the top, which is unhardened to absorb the hammer strike, to a fine machine ground 7/32" cutting edge. The knife is 4-1/2" long. Imported.
