Of all the hand tools available, there may be none more satisfying than a hand plane. From the 1st curl of wood to the final, finished surface, a hand plane just about typifies all that is right and noble about wood-working. Footprint planes include smart features like a grey cast iron body for long life and a handle that feels right and gives comfortable and positive control. 1-5/8" x 7".
The cutter rests at an angle of 12 degrees, which makes it easier to plane end grain. Mouth is adjustable for coarse or fine work with finger-grips in sides.
Note: Although these are part of the Footprint line, they are made in China due to the cost of construction.

Comments about Low Angle Block Plane:
The machining was crude, and I was unable to fix it. It will go in my "lend it" tool box. Footprint used to be so good. This plane was made in [*] by under-paid idiots. This plane was purchased by an idiot. Me.

This poorly constructed piece of junk added insult to injury by coming with a big nick in the middle of the poorly fitting blade. It belongs in the seconds bin of a [@] Even though this plane seem like a good price, I'll be paying a third of that amount to send it back to you shortly. Made me nervous about purchasing things other than fasteners from McFeelys.
