Sometimes a bit of entertainment is all it takes to make a dreary job go faster. I guess that's why my mother always told me to whistle while I worked. Well, I can whistle but the Elvex ® Quietunes ™ AM/FM radio earmuffs are more entertaining by far (and less distracting to those around me). They are ideal for use when cutting the grass, whacking weeds, or even sanding in the shop. I especially like the built-in mini-jack that lets me connect to my MP3 player for commercial-free music of my own choosing! The built-in AM/FM radio receiver has a frequency range of 88-108 MHz FM and 540-1700 kHz AM (the normal broadcast range). Even weak stations are pulled in reliably thanks to the flexible, sensitive antenna. External analog tuning and volume controls make these hearing protectors easy to adjust without the need for removal. Volume is limited to 82 dB for OSHA compliance. Listen for up to 140 hours off one set of two "AA" batteries (included). A hygiene kit is sold separately (consists of replacement ear cushions and sealing rings). MP3 player cable is not included.
