When it comes to resisting corrosion in the harsh conditions encountered around salt water, passivated 316 Stainless Steel is the undisputed champ. Its high Nickel content together with a small percentage of Molybdenum make it exceptionally resistive to corrosive salts. This is really the very best choice for all construction exposed to salt spray. Remember that even 316 stainless steel is more prone to breakage than the hardened steel screw you are used to using. Note the non-standard head diameters (0.430). Drive carefully! Made in Taiwan.

These are excellent screws but time will tell how they hold up,as I used them to build a dock on a saltwater pond. I'd suggest predrilling first,as the heads don't always seat and they are tough to thread out...Use a new #3 squaredrive head to drive these!! Impressive screws...

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
