Stainless Steel Square Drive Pan Head screws have a flat surface under the head to ensure that they won’t pull through softer materials the way a flat head screw will. These are ideal for attaching metal hardware that does not have a countersunk hole. Like the Stainless Steel Flat Head screws, use a slightly oversize pilot hole to avoid breakage. Note that these have a tapping type thread which increases the strength of the screw, but reduces holding power compared to the deep thread. These passivated 18-8 grade, 300 series screws are made in either Canada or Taiwan.

Comments about #14 x 1-1/2'' Stainless Steel Pan Head Screws:
I used these screws to fasten extrusions to my greenhouse. The extrusions will be used to secure the poly cover. These stainless screws will hold up and not rust. They also were perfect for attaching the aluminum extrusions to my wooden frame. Can't say enough good things about them. Oh yeah, the shipping was excellent, got them in short order.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
