50ft cord retracts when not in use
Mount this cord reel on a ceiling joist, wall stud, or masonry wall (with appropriate fasteners) near your bench for conveniently accessible power, when and where you need it! This 12-gauge cord has a quad-tap outlet block so you can provide power to multiple devices simultaneously (up to 15 amps of continuous load). A heavy gauge steel mounting bracket secures it to the wall, ceiling or bench of your choice (although drywall will not support this reel). The polarized 15 amp plug has a built-in reset in case of overload and an indicator light to let you know when the cord is energized.

About Me Homeowner
I did much research about these retractable extention cords before purchasing this one and the biggest complaint on all of them was that the cord does not retract easily into the housing. This unit (although the most expensive that I found)does retract well into the housing. Just remember there is no guide for the cord as it retracts so you must guide it otherwide it will try to wind up in one spot and then of course it will stop rewinding. Cord is very heavy to handle just about all the current you need to use your tools. In my application I hung it from a steel beam I have in the garage. This makes it very convenient to use and keeps extention cords from cluttering up the floor. For my application the plug end was too short to reach the electrical outlet but this was more due to my specific application. I am pleased with this purchase and would recommmed this product. My only concern is that it is made in China. (What isn't these days?) In my experience electrical items I have purchased that were made in China short out after a period of time. So far it is working well. Time will tell. Always pleased with the items I have pruchased from McFeeley's.
