You’ll be amazed at the difference an auger point makes on a stainless steel square drive screw. Great for use with pressure treated wood or premium materials like redwood and wester red cedar because they are truly self-drilling. Passivated type 305 stainless steel provides even more corrosion resistance than the usual type 304 stainless (a bit of nickel really helps). Be sure to test or predrill when you install at the end of a board. Requires a #3 Driver Bit. Note the non-standard head diameters. Made in Taiwan. Head diameter: .430"

      Comments about #12 x 3-1/2'' Auger Point 305 Stainless Steel Screws:

      I purchased these screws to assemble a dock and gang ways to get to it. These are heavy duty! I should have read the description... I was experiencing a bit of cam-out because I was using the wrong size driver bit(#2 instead of #3).

      I do have one complaint...the screws came in an oversized box. I dumped them into a bag so I could carry them around easier. Save on packaging next time, folks!

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
