Comments about BMI Window Tape Measure:

My one disappointment is that the one I received is BLACK. I ordered it because the ads show RED. WHY is this an issue? Black and dark rules can easily get hidden or blend into the background; Reds and Yellows are easy to spot. I like for my rules to be handy and VISIBLE for quick access.

Otherwise, very good rule with great features.

Comments about BMI Window Tape Measure:

this is meant to be kept in a drawer and never should be thrown into a toolbox or dropped on the ground. It is not a tool for a carpenter and will not hold up if you try to use it as such. It is handy for reading from above in tight spaces.
I wanted to have a Red one as pictured, but they sent me a black one

Comments about BMI Window Tape Measure:

I purchased this tape because I was needing a metric tape for my festool saw and it seems to be the exact same one festool offers. But I received my first one and it doesn't operate smoothly at all. [...] 2nd one operated the same way. If fills as if there is a tension spring in there but not nearly strong enough. So I figured I would take it apart and see. So I removed the screws to realize it was also glued together so it was a no go. Also the tape Mcfeely's shows is red I received 2 black ones. But it does read metric and the view from top of tape is nice to measure.

This product is easy to use. I would like it better if it was constructed more like a commercial product than a residential quality.
