You’ll be amazed at the difference an auger point makes on a Square Drive stainless steel screw! Great for use with pressure treated wood, or premium materials like Redwood and Western Red Cedar because they are truly self drilling. Passivated type 305 stainless steel provides even more corrosion resistance than the usual type 304 stainless steel (a bit of extra nickel really helps). Avoid any potential for splits: be sure to test or pre-drill when you install at the end of a board. Pilot holes may be required in some applications. Note the non-standard screw head diameters (.344). Made in Taiwan.

Comments about 10 x 3 Self-Drilling Wood Screws, Stainless Steel, Flat Head, Square Drive:
Bought 7500 of these for a dock application. Some of the heads were visibly not punched square, so extra care was required when inserting the drive or they would strip rapidly. Keeping a fresh bit helped with this some, but did not completely eliminate the issue.

Too soft........too expensive

About Me Professional
Bought over $1,200 of these overpriced screws. Seem to drill well & grip well in wood decking on boat dock. Biggest complaint is they are TOO SOFT! About 5% of the screws would either break on installation or the square drive head would strip out & require time consuming removal with a cats claw & vice grips. Will have to see how long they withstand corrosion. At this point, I think they are too expensive for the amount of wasted screws you encounter.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
