You’ll be amazed at the difference an auger point makes on a Stainless Steel Square Drive screw! Great for use with pressure treated wood, or premium materials like Redwood and Western Red Cedar because they are truly self drilling. Passivated type 305 stainless steel provides even more corrosion resistance than the usual type 304 stainless (a bit of extra nickel really helps). Avoid any potential for splits: be sure to test or pre-drill when you install at the end of a board. Pilot holes may be required in some applications. Note the non-standard screw head diameters (.344). Made in Taiwan.

I haven't had a chance to actually use these yet but I purchased them to screw down some flooring in my boat. Of course I needed stainless steel and by the looks of the screw, it will hold fine. The square head makes the job a lot easier. I have used square head on other jobs and now I am a believer. As I turn over my screw supply I will be replacing them with the square head. I have never been dissatisfied with anything that I purchased from McFeely's.
