You’ll be amazed at the difference an auger point makes on a Stainless Steel Square Drive screw! Great for use with pressure treated wood, or premium materials like Redwood and Western Red Cedar because they are truly self drilling. Passivated type 305 stainless steel provides even more corrosion resistance than the usual type 304 stainless (a bit of extra nickel really helps). Avoid any potential for splits: be sure to test or pre-drill when you install at the end of a board. Pilot holes may be required in some applications. Note the non-standard screw head diameters (.344). Made in Taiwan.

Excellent product! I wanted stainless steel screws for some Adirondack chairs I am making our of western red cedar. I was unable to find any locally (Ft. Worth, TX) in any of the usual hardware stores. One fastener company had them, but sold them separately at an outrageous price. The screws received from McFeely's are perfect for my project. The finish is nice, the self tapping screws worked great, though I did pre drill some of the work (cedar is soft after all). Would gladly buy again.BTW, the shipper lost the first order. I called McFeely's and they sent out replacements right away. Can't beat the customer service.

One of the best deck screws available

The Deckmaster brackets on my new deck require a #10 screw, but the restored redwood I am using is only one inch thick. I could not find a #10 by 1 or 1 1/4 screw anywhere but McFeely's. Great product.
