Stay on the safe side of regulations
If you are in the construction trades or building maintenance, these books are a "must-have" to stay on top of the latest regulations. Many cities use the International Codes for the basis of their regulations. These are hot off the press 2009 manuals. They can more than pay for themselves by keeping you out of trouble with the local building inspectors.
This code book is a must for all contractors building apartment buildings and large non-residential structures. This code book covers all building codes except single-family and two-family homes as well as townhouses of less than 3 stories (See Residential Code 1 or 2 Family Dwellings). It covers construction technology, fire and life safety provisions, interior finishes, material design standards, safety concepts and seismic engineering provisions. Also included is a CD covering the history of code changes, articles from ICC’s Building Safety Journal and internet links to useful sites.
